when making candles is there a way not to make the wax sink?

Is there a way to preserve candles to last?

winwithomar asked: I love burning candles and somehow they all burn incorreclty and either the wick or string part becomes buried to where I can’t find it, or it burns a hole down the middle til it drowns itself out when it’s supposed to burn from top to bottom. Any tricks are advice?

When I am making candles why do they set with a hole in the middle around the wick?

booo7099 asked: My candles after they cool and set up always have a depression around the wick and then some of the wax appears to climb up the wick from the depression…does anyone have any suggestions for making level candles?
