Or are there any candles that don’t make black smoke? Thanks!

The best thing I’ve found, is olive oil lamps.
You can get them, or the wick kits, at

They’re cool, because they’re safe (if they tip over, they go out, not burn your house down!), they smell good burning, unlike oil lamps, you can get big things of olive oil cheap, and they don’t put off ANY smoke at all!

This is what the ancient Romans used too - those little oil lamps were used with a wick and olive oil.

What I use and is MUCH safer is a coffee mug warmer.
They also sell them in your candle isle.
They warm the candle making the fragrant smell wonderful, and the candle lasts so much longer.

If lighting them, find a candle made of soy.
Yankee Candles I believe don’t smoke as much. :-)
