Bees make wax. I don’t think you can actually make wax. And the only other thing you can do is purchase wax in the form of little beads that you melt down and then put into moulds or whatever you like.
If you want to make wax, you’ll need some crude oil. Then you’ll need to build a refinery to fractionate the oil into various products such as gasoline (yay!), a variety of oils and tars, and finally to paraffin, or “wax”.
So, the bottom line is, if you want to make paraffin candles, you’ll be much better off buying it. It also comes in large blocks that you can break or cut into smaller chunks before melting.
You could also use beeswax, but again, unless you’re ready to start bee-keeping, it’s going to be easier to buy the wax than to make it.
One caution, when you’re melting wax, use an electric hotplate or stove, not a flame; if you overheat the wax in the presence of a flame, it will generate vapors that will very likely catch fire. It can even happen with an electric stove, so be sure and keep the temperature down to only what it takes to melt, not so hot that it “smokes”.

You can’t “make” wax. You can use natural wax, made by bees–that you purchase–(beeswax) and mix it with paraffin you buy in the grocery store (look where they sell the canning jars). You should experiment with different proportions of paraffin to beeswax for the results you like best.
It is really best to read up on the process of candlemaking before you try it–there are some HUGE problems you can run into if you don’t know what you’re doing. It’s very messy, and you run the risk of burns and fires–wax is flammable–and can explode if heated too high.
