What are the best brand of candles to burn in your house. I want something that you can actually smell when it’s burning, long lasting..right now I am using yankee candle home sweet home..it smells good, but it really doesn’t fill the room with scent..and I don’t like glade plug ins or anything similar to that.

Use a candle warmer instead of burning… I bought one for $5.00 and I use all my scented candles (in jars or glass votives) on it…even the cheaper brands.

The scent is much stronger, the wax lasts a whole lot longer and I don’t have to worry about my cats walking over the flame and bursting into flames…!

My brother gave me two large jar candles for my birthday from Mainstays (sold by Walmart). You can smell the Warm Apple Pie even when it isn’t burning! And yes, the whole room smells very nice. THe other one is the Hazelnut Cream candle and it also smells really good.
I also have a Mainstays Tangy Cranberry candle that smells good, but has a more subtle smell to it. All in all, I am kind of surprised at these candles, they smell really good, and they are not nearly as expensive as Yankee Candle.(The bottom of the Candle says that they are manufactured by American Greetings Corp.).

A lady at work had a candle during the holidays that she purchased from WalMart - it’s in a set where you get one large candle in a jar and several smaller ones and it all comes in one box - we could smell that candle all over the office!!

Another option are the candles from Home Interiors - they smell great and burn for hours. The only issue with that option is finding someone who sells Home Interiors. Good luck!
